Job Title -  Class 2 Driver Operative

Salary - £12.96ph plus Veolia benefits *listed below

Location - Brent Public Realm 4 – 7 Marsh Road, Alperton, Middlesex, HA0 1ES

Hours - 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday 07.00AM – 15.38PM


What you’ll do


  • To be responsible for the collection of refuse and recycling waste from domestic properties.

  • Undertaking the necessary daily checks as per the Drivers/Operator handbook.

  • Use a Drivers Tacho Card for UK Domestic Drivers Hours Regs.

  • Ensuring that each day all completed work is detailed on your daily worksheet and Echo that they are handed in daily along with the daily vehicle check sheets, fuel and Weighbridge tickets.

  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads.

  • Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area.

  • Conforming to all applicable site rules when offloading at disposal sites.

  • Carrying out any other duties that may be required as directed by your line manager.

  • To work overtime as and when required including Bank/Public Holidays.


The experience you will need


Essential:


  • Cat C (Class 2) licence and experience

  • Driver CPC.

You will be working alongside a further 100+ colleagues within the Collections Services arm of the contract which employs in excess of 350 people. We are an established partner of Brent Council with whom we have worked for over 20 years delivering services to the Residents and Visitors of Brent across a wide range of services.
