Job Description

Our Infrastructure Services Projects team currently has an exciting new vacancy for a Contracts Director, predominately covering the South East of England area. You will lead a sizeable and growing Infrastructure Services business and be responsible for all operational and commercial aspects. This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful and growing team; in order to fulfil your duties, you must be very flexible in travel, as a lot of the role will be field based requiring you to cover numerous sites.




You'll:

  • Be the contact for client engagement, relationship management and business development
  • Have accountability for managing a £15-30m per annum turnover, meeting or outperforming gross income targets
  • Have line management of projects teams
  • Provide input to and where appropriate, leading the tender process for civil engineering projects
  • Develop, communicate and embed the sector strategy in line with the Skanska corporate business plan
  • Support regional and national business development activities, identifying and pursuing
  • opportunities and developing the Skanska brand
  • Engage with key stakeholders and communities
  • Provide strategic management of the supply chain
  • Performance manage and improve against key business targets in line with the Skanska business plan - operational, financial, people, health/safety, quality, environmental and client satisfaction
  • Deliver monthly operational and financial reporting
  • Promote improvement opportunities and innovations

We're looking for:

  • Strong background in business development in UK civil engineering, with private and public sector clients
  • A track record of successfully leading a substantial single or multiple civil engineering project, for public or private sector clients
  • A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding business financial, productivity, growth
  • and safety targets
  • Experience of work winning and tender preparation for civil engineering projects
  • Strong competency in interrogating profit and loss accounts and cost value reports, as well as developing and presenting regular financial forecasts
  • Knowledge of UK civil engineering industry
