Electricity North West is currently recruiting a Corporate Finance Manager to join our high performing team in Manchester. As Corporate Finance Manager you will provide an outstanding level of pro-active financial modelling and analysis support to the organisation to ensure that the financial impact and resultant consequences are understood in strategic and tactical decision making.
You will prepare analysis and appropriate documentation to meet business planning, reporting, financing, regulatory and benchmarking requirements and take full ownership of specific projects within the Strategic Planning area, ensuring the timely delivery of high quality outputs.
You will support the Head of Corporate Finance across a wide range of responsibilities including shareholder valuation management and financing activities, whilst working closely with the Financial Control team to ensure current year performance and near-term forecasting issues are fully reflected in the long-term plan.
As Corporate Finance Manager, you must be a pro-active and analytical team player with experience within Corporate Finance/Transaction Services combined with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to deliver against challenging deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. You will have excellent inter-personal, communication and organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
The role is based from our Manchester office; however, we require a degree of flexibility and willingness to travel as the successful candidate may be required to travel to our locations across the North West.
What we are looking for:
- Degree level qualification within a relevant discipline (essential);
- Finance qualification (essential) preferably ACA/CFA;
- Corporate Finance/Transaction Services experience (desirable);
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling experience (essential), including a disciplined approach to spreadsheets;
- Ability to convert detailed spreadsheet analysis into clear decision support information in written reports, conveying key themes and making logical and well-reasoned recommendations;
- A keen eye and attention to detail;
- A strong analytical and IT skills;
- Strong written and presentational skills;
- Pro-active approach, initiating areas for analysis to drive change and improvement across the business
