Job Description

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the day to day processes within the Customer Payments Team, ensuring all transactions are correctly processed and recorded on daily basis. The role reports to the Customer Payments Team Leader, and sits within the wider Finance - Retail team.


Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all payments and refunds are processed accurately and cash is allocated in accordance with agreed terms.
Sorting daily post and cheques for processing through the cheque scanner
All queries and enquiries are quickly and effectively resolved within agreed times.
Data entry
Help to build and maintain effective internal and external business relationships, to ensure a consistently high standard of team performance is achieved. Help to manage the team's relationships with internal and external customers.
To support and help integrate new operations in line with future business requirements, ensuring the transition process is effectively implemented.

Key Capabilities:
A highly numerate and accurate individual is essential with excellent skills in data entry.
Be able to effectively work with a team using their own initiative and engage well with other members of the team.
Must be appropriately IT proficient, particularly in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrate a confidence and ability to communicate effectively with external customers and colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
To be flexible and adaptable to change.

Working Pattern

You would be required to start between 8am-9am and finish 4 hours later 12pm/1pm

4 hours per day/20 hours per week

Monday to Friday, Office based in Hatfield, Herts
