SSE Enterprise comprises three companies: Contracting, Telecoms and Distributed Energy. SSE Enterprise Utilities is part of the Distributed Energy business of SSE plc. Distributed Energy offers a full range of services which contribute to the development of smart cities and smart places, in both public and private sectors. We finance, own, operate and maintain a broad portfolio, from electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure, to distributed energy systems including renewable and low-carbon generation, energy storage and heat networks as well as building owning and adopting private HV networks. This involves providing customers with energy optimisation solutions through intelligent systems and offering platforms and connectivity to enable smart energy infrastructure and demand management services.
SSE Enterprise Utilities is the Distributed Energy and Private Networks business of SSE plc. We finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management.
What is the Role
Our rapidly growing Digital Services department have created a brand-new role for an experienced Data Collection and Data Aggregation Manager. The role will drive this new business opportunity to grow revenue and EBIT, focused on the half hourly and SMART meter market segments.
You will be responsible for leading the development of the DC/DA business from concept to execution of contracts, working closely with internal and external stakeholders as well as building the new team. You will develop innovative market solutions, which are effectively procured, delivered and operated to meet the balance and settlement code as well as deliver our margin and clients requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to have the autonomy to build your own team within our DE sector within Enterprise.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role you will have a proven record within regulatory, time critical business operations; ideally managing complex projects with multiple and external stakeholders in the B2B sector.
You will have an in-depth understanding of the Balance and Settlement code, be an expert in mandated reports and proven experience in the issuing of data in a timely manner to meet the companies obligations.
Having managed similar projects; you will have the skill to ensure the team delivers accurate, validated, aggregated data and reporting meeting the 99.3% or higher accuracy target as set down by the BSC.
You will have prior experience of people management as the role includes developing a new team, processes and operational delivery of the services.
You will have good knowledge of the energy and power markets, with knowledge of both Elexons and Ofgems role within this space.
You will be entrepreneurial, commercial and flexible and bring a track-record of developing strong relationships and developing sophisticated solutions, delivering exceptional service that meet customers and stakeholders needs. Inquisitive and able to challenge convention; you'll be adaptable with the ability to engage varied audiences.
