More about the team:
The Technical Direction Construction team is responsible for building the future infrastructure of the business and delivering complex projects for our clients, whether they be internal to Veolia or external. This involves providing the project management and technical expertise required to develop projects at concept right through design, construction, testing and hand over.
We would like an intern to join the team to work on Hazardous Waste Projects for the summer of 2020. There are multiple projects at various stages in the project life cycle. This internship offers the opportunity to be involved with concept design development through to detailed design and construction, commissioning and handover.
Typical activities include Heath, Safety and Environment Management, Scope Management, Financial Management, Risk and Assurance, Quality Management, Schedule Management and Project Communications.
You will be involved in tasks such as completing feasibility reports, concept designs, project schedules, hazard risk assessments, process safety activities, stage and gate documentation, financial analysis and investment models, HAZOP, Construction Design Management regulations compliance.

What we’re looking for:
Student currently undertaking a Chemical Engineering degree, preferably in your 3rd or 4th year
An interest in Project Management and Hazardous Waste Processing
A positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn
Good verbal and written communication skills
