What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced Marketeer to join our team - this role is specifically created to address the reality that most buying decisions are now made ahead of meeting a sales person. The role also acknowledges the fact that Veolia as an entity wants to trade within specific sectors. In order to secure the business that we want we need to market directly to these nominated sectors at new levels of both focus and attention.
This role will work on nominated vertical market sectors. The products and services marketed will be those which align to a ‘relationship’ approach. The role will specifically exclude accounts targeted by the account focussed marketeers. You will:
Be accountable for creating in depth knowledge of all relevant aspects of a nominated sector to inform the marketing and sales process and be accountable for identifying suitable Leads within the nominated sector
You will use the generated knowledge of the sectors needs, wants and problems to promote Veolia solutions using marketing tools and techniques to successfully create revenue generating opportunities for Veolia
Also be accountable for nurturing identified leads using the generated knowledge of the sector / customers needs, wants and problems to promote Veolia solutions using marketing tools and techniques to successfully create revenue generating opportunities for Veolia, as well as ensuring all Marketing generated data is managed legally and appropriately
Responsible for monitoring of all relevant tender portals and identifying suitable commercial opportunities, as well as contributing to the development & implementation of an appropriate sector based marketing strategy for the UK, measuring performance and identifying areas of development with associated project management and reporting.
The experience you will need
You will have a high level of analytical skills, be able to work on your own initiative whilst keeping management and their wider team informed / engaged, with associated reporting and performance management and have a high level of interpersonal skills - for customers, team and other internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of the sales and business development process is a must, in order to develop proactive strategies for the needs of the role and you will also understand complex market and service offerings and be able to interpret into pertinent customer solutions
With an ability to liaise and drive to completion, you will execute the various strategies / tactics through the interacting parts of the business; communications, sales operations, external stakeholders and suppliers.
Experience of new product / service development and the presentation of sound based proposals would also be beneficial.
