Job Title - Mobile Plant Operative
Salary - Up to £24,509 per annum plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Veolia Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility, Newmarket Approach, Leeds, LS9 0RJ
Hours - Full time 40 hours per week, Rotating weekly shifts Monday to Friday 0600 - 1430 and 1400 - 2230
What you’ll do
Routine daily/weekly maintenance and cleaning of plant and equipment, including oil and water checks, reporting defects to Operation and Maintenance Assistants or shift supervisor.
Rectify plant blockages and problems in accordance with laid down procedures under the supervision of the shift supervisor or Operation and Maintenance Assistants.
Maintaining material supply to the process and keeping vehicle tipping bays clear.
Keep site in a reasonably clean and tidy condition at all times by undertaking litter picking duties etc.
Cleaning of optical sorters, conveyors, shredders and trommels within programmed downtime during each shift to the standards laid down in company procedures.
Conduct monitoring and inspection of MPT conveyors and machinery on the process lines.
Operating mobile plant and the baler.
Complete machine-hours, defect sheets and other related paperwork to required standards.
The experience you will need
Previous experience in operating front loading shovel, 360, telehandler, FLT & relevant licence is essential.
Attention to detail.
Good communication and organisational skills.

Our UK Energy Recovery Facilities utilise world-class technology to safely transform residual waste into energy for the National Grid and in total, we generate enough energy to power over 189,000 homes annually.
