About the Role

Role Title: New Talent Development Specialist 
Reporting to: New Talent Development and Training Support Manager
Location: Eakring, Mansfield

We are looking for someone who is either working within Learning and Development or with hands on experience of delivering Apprenticeship training, to join our buzzing National Grid Academy team and to be responsible for the day to day management, design and development of New Talent training programmes.  This vacancy focuses on Electricity Transmission Operational training programmes.  

Key Accountabilities will include: 

  • Ensuring compliance with national apprenticeship standards and policies including Education Inspection Framework and ESFA standards;
  • Training programme design and delivery, working with assessment teams, review learner outcomes, provision of learner MI and observe learning to ensure quality provision;
  • Learner safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care during off job training sessions and resolution of daily occurring programme and learner related concerns and issues

A competitive salary between £37,700 – £47,799 dependent on capability

About you

Ideally you will have: 

  • Knowledge of and experience of training interventions/development delivery
  • Knowledge of learning methods and an understanding of good practices
  • Recognised knowledge in technical field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and time management / planning skills are a fundamental requirement for this role.

 

Qualifications 

  • Desirable: Level 3 Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship, appropriate Technical Safety Qualification - 
  • Desirable: Professional HR / Business to HNC/D level & working towards corporate membership of professional body (Institutions / CIPD)  
  • Desirable: Background in gas or electricity training programmes with external funding knowledge
  • Training will be provided to successful candidate in any area necessary.
