You’ll be leading the day to day operational management of the Northumbrian Water Pension Scheme (NWPS), and in particular supporting the Chair of the Trustee in all duties for which the corporate trustee is responsible. You’ll be accountable for the monitoring and managing the day to day Scheme governance, ensuring that pension risks are logged, understood and mitigations plans put in place; and Scheme rules, booklets, policies and procedures are kept up to date and in line with best practice. We’re also looking for you to manage and monitor the Scheme’s finances, including the preparation and management of the Scheme’s annual budget; monitoring and approving associated fees; managing cash flow needs; and liaising with the Company about contributions and deficit contributions.
In the role you’ll manage supplier relationships; coordinate services; and monitor performance and service delivery to ensure that the Trustee and members receive a quality service. Conduct formal reviews and lead the activity relating to changes to suppliers. You’ll also support the ongoing development of the NWPS communication strategy, working with suppliers on regular and ad hoc communications, including newsletters, booklets, benefits statements and websites

We’re looking for you to have proven experience of managing a multi-million pound budget spend on suppliers and able to demonstrate experience and success in administering/managing similar pension arrangements.
We’re looking for you to have proven experience in a similar senior role and in using data to educate decision-making and prioritise/progress work activities. You’ll have proven experience of writing clear and concise proposals, business plans, reports and presentations, along with the proven ability to understand and interpret reports containing technical pensions jargon and financial detail
