What you’ll do
This role helps us complete this task by drawing together the multiple streams of input available from Marketing, Operations, QHSE, Sales, Tech, Finance, Legal, IT et al to produce compelling and differentiating Bids and Proposals. These bids and proposals address directly the needs and wants of our potential customers.
This role manages two Bid Coordinators and is inturn managed by the Bid & Proposal Manager. Bids and Submissions relating to opportunities linked to Sales Qualified Leads generated by the teams Marketeers alongside opportunities generated by sales people will be delivered by you and your team from Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to Tender submission. You will also be responsible for:
Understanding and interpreting the key strategic deliverables on the bid and any considerations for Veolia in the development of the bid and for developing strong relationships with other business departments to ensure that the submissions get completed accurately on time and to the highest quality available
Identifying the needs and requirements of inbound tender and quotation requests in order to create the response plan, Including but not limited to arranging who will attend site visits and audits requests, as well as being responsible for overseeing completion of Expression of Interest (EOI), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation in-line with corporate guidelines
The coordination of tender projects to maximise competitive advantage and ensure completion within specification and timescales, including requesting, supporting and managing the input from other departments in conjunction with the opportunity owner
Writing and proofreading specific sections of the tender as required and will also review sections submitted by other departments to ensure that they have answered the questions fully and that the document is coherent and ensuring that all legal requirements are adhered to with regards to T&C’s being approved / NDA’s, Commercial notes and Caveats are captured and included within the submission
Being included in the research of client strategies and principles to ensure that the tender meets the client’s expectations
The experience you will need
You will have previous experience within a similar role, including people management. You will have a high standard of written English, with an enthusiasm for the environment and the wider resource management field, and for building knowledge on the subject. Having the ability to work to tight deadlines and the self-motivation to do so is also key.
You will also have a high level of attention to detail, be well organised and have a high degree of professionalism - must have the communication and relationship building skills required to deal confidently and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
Academic qualifications in project management, business or environmental subjects would be advantageous.
