Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our Natural Resources Team for our Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent contracts, working from home and from our sites which will be based in the midlands area.

Location: Working from home and travelling to sites

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Senior Planner, you'll be working within the Kier Natural Resources Team looking after Projects for our clients Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent. You'll work closely with the operational team to plan the sequence of works, logistics and resourcing of the projects we deliver, which will range from £5-£20m in value and working on dirty water treatment plant upgrade and resilience works.

Your day to day will include:

  • Monitoring and providing the conscience of the projects, through the design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • The production, and subsequent communication, of assessments with the commercial team to manage any change.
  • Using your experience to plan the sequence of work, logistics and resourcing of the projects.
  • Ensuring our teams are delivering the projects as efficiently as possible
  • Liaising with, and incorporating information into the programme from our supply chain partners
  • Identifying delivery opportunities and risks, as well as regularly identifying change and early warning matters.

What are we looking for?


This role of Senior Planner is great for you if you have:

  • Experience in a similar role within the civils water sector working on projects between £5-20m in value
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6, as well as how other software which can be used to communicate programmes
  • Understanding of NEC contract
