Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources Team working on our Severn Trent framework. With the option to work from home you'll also need to visit Severn Trent sites across the midlands.

Location: Working from home and reporting to the Sheffield office, with travel across the midlands

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Natural Resources team supporting them in managing the commercial aspects of schemes between £5m-£20m in value on both clean and dirty water treatment plants. These projects are of a civils / MEICA nature, looking at upgrade and resilience works of these established sites.

Your day to day will include:

• Managing the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
• Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
• Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
• Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
• Experience working with complex civil projects within the water industry.
