Job Title - Transport Controller
Salary - Circa £20,000 plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Hortonwood 60, Telford, TF1 7AD
Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What you’ll do
The Transport Controller will be responsible to ensure the traffic office and vehicles are running efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. The Transport Controller will ensure employees are adhering to the Veolia policies and maintaining a safe environment whilst promoting Veolia Behavioural Skills. You will ensure Veolia are compliant with Driver Tachograph management and provide training on infringements to allow continuous improvement.
The Transport Controller will ensure full compliance with Defect Reporting System and ensure all records for compliance for the drivers and vehicles are maintained within FTA and in line with the Fleet manual. You will download all digital tachograph cards and complete any accident reports, carrying out full investigations and logging them on Rivo.
The Transport Controller will assist in checking the planning and ensuring the routes are efficient and ensuring smooth customer service. You will carry out driver daily checks on a monthly basis and assisting in the development of any training that is required to enable a greater skill level for all drivers. You will produce a monthly stock check for the Business Manager to ensure we can provide to the customers.

You will be working in a new modern open plan building purpose built-in 2018 to house the Commercial Depot.
