Electricity North West is looking for experienced Arborists to join our team based in Oldham.
Our team of in-house Arborists carry out a successful tree cutting programme to reduce the potential impacts of fallen trees and branches with the aim of preventing sudden power cuts for our customers.
Day to day as an Arborist you will be involved with clearing trees adjacent to overhead power lines and sub stations, operating chainsaws and chippers, maintaining vehicle, plant and equipment and completing paperwork against work instructions. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance to working practices, codes of practices and risk assessments for the job.
To become an Arborist with us you’ll have arb industry experience, experience of working outdoors in all weather conditions, experience of working at height and hold a full UK driving licence ideally with B+E.
You will hold NPTC 30, 31, 38, 39 and ideally 40, 41, NPTC UA 1 and a LANTRA / NPTC chipper certificate and ideally have utility experience.

This role is based from our Oldham depot, as the successful candidate you will be required to travel throughout the South Operations area.

- A starting salary of up to £26,557.32 dependent on skills + experience (based on a 37 hour working week)
